Information for New Players
Here are a few tips you may want to consider as a new player:

Having your video settings too high may be one of the primary sources of lag spikes, especially in intense fights with lots of light effects.

Unless you are particularly sensitive to swear words consider turning the profanity filter off
(Options ---> Interface ---> Chat)

The filter is very sensitive and you will end up missing a lot of combinations of letters, such as ìput aî in a phrase ìput a belt in the bankî.

If you're unlucky enough to happen upon people abusing in-game voicechat you can disable it
(Options ---> Audio ---> Voicechat)

Create custom channels for the chatbox to make communication easier, especially consider having a channel without /zone, /lfg and /trade for when you want to talk with the guild and you're in Protector's Enclave. (Press the gear in the top-left corner of the chat box to create or modify chat channels)

Find a great guild for yourself to join not only with one but all of your characters, to help you evolve as a player!
