Module 4: The Tyranny of Dragons

You can start this campaign as early as level 26. Harper Boward in Protector's Enclave offers the daily ''Common Cause''. Common Cause is a meta-quest that sends your character to a random zone among the zones that you have unlocked in the campaign, and requires you to complete the daily lair, daily heroic encounter (killing a dragon) and one "standard" daily quest for that zone. Lair quests are only given at lvl 60.

You want to make sure to kill the dragon and to do the daily quest in each of the unlocked zones the campaign sends you as well as the ''mini dungeon'' given in one of the 5 zones daily. *Reported Bug* If you take your quest from the agent harper but don't finish it and keep them from a previous day, you might get stuck if that happens, you may have to abandon these quests and wait for the next day to take them again in order to reset them. (Should get fixed soon).

I calculated the following numbers: assuming that you would craft only 1 ''Dragon Artifact Chest''(the task require a ''Dragon Gem'', a ''Dragon Bone'' and a ''Dragon Forged Steel'' to create the chest for a random artifact weapon, out of the 3 choices that you can see when you press CTRL+J, for your current class), 3 X ''Mystic Dragon Keys'' and 3 X ''Arcane Dragon Keys''. In order to get the last boons of this campaign you require 2 tomes called ''Haarl's Treatise on Dragonkind'' and ''Breyer's Draconic Investigations''. To finish the campaign, create 3 keys of each, and to gain all the boons; you need to earn around 306 ''Dragon Sigils'' and 336 ''Cult Secrets'', unless you are vey lucky and find one or both of the tomes required for the 4th and 5th boon. Going through the campaign will get you enough ''Pages of Arcane Lore'' and ''Dragon Hoard Coins''. With your extra ''Dragon Hoard Coins'' you may buy ''Potions of Dragon slaying'' and ''Scrolls of Protection from Dragons'' wich can be used not only during the campaign but with any dragons from any skirmish or dungeon (ex: Mad Dragon – MC – eLoL). These can either be dropped in the campaign unique skirmish and dungeon respectively, or obtained from the campaign store. Because of the very low drop rate I have included the amount of ''Dragon Sigils'' and ''Cult Secrets'' needed to buy the tomes in the total above.

When you'll be at the end of the Shores of Tuerns (SoT) or the Lair of Losmauth (LoL), either the normal or epic version, remember that the chest on the left side of the portal is a “normal” skirmish/dungeon chest: always open in case of skirmish (SoT) or open in DD/opened with dungeon key (LoL). The chest on the right side of the portal requires a correct campaign key, however, if after opening it you decide you do not like the loot you can decline (press 2) and keep your key. You have to kill the unlocked dragons and to do the daily quest given in every zones for about 80 days in order to get the last boons, get enough to craft the keys and to finish the campaign. In fact the dragons from the Neverdeath Graveyard, Ebon and Icespire only give 1 cult secret each and up to 5 Dragon Hoard Coins. The dragons in Rothe and Whispering Caverns give 1 sigil each, up to 5 coins and a chance at the artifact belts. The weekly defend the portal gives 3 sigils, the daily lairs will give you one sigil each except for Ancient Treasures in whispering caverns that gives 2 sigils.

Here is the method I use, among several possible, I like to think that this one is as fast as it gets (if it is what you are looking for). I call it a ''Train of dragons round''. I encourage you guys, if you appreciate the method; to spread the example, make groups and invite each others as it is a very efficient and fun way to proceed.

After loading the zone open your map and check the timer of the dragon. If you have players that are with you everyone say his timer, afterwards wait a few seconds at entrance. The leader of the train then throws invite pointing whose instance you should switch to (the person with a low timer). If no one has a low timer you want to pay attention at the /zone chat. Locate and whisper someone mentioning a low timer on the dragon, if nothing type in the /zone chat: ''Invite me for a dragon under 5 mins please''. Up to this point I stay at the entrance until this point If no invites come, no problem, as you can walk in the zone, pick up and do your other quest, meanwhile you can monitor /zone chat, to find a low timer. You can ask for timers of the dragon in /zone chat again and locate the right dragon for your needs, then whisper someone shouting about a short timer to get an invite. You may Swap instance once 120 seconds have passed since entering the zone. Leaving and re-entering the zone should also move you to the instance where your other party members are once you’re in a group.

You want to ask for invites when you are ready because sometimes you may be invited to a short timer dragon and usually get invited in the next seconds after asking, so stay near the entrance of the zone to be ready to change zone and come back fast, thank the guy and then leave party before the instance gets full. You can then easily invite a guildy at that point if u see someone in your zone looking in the guild roster or say your timer in the /guild chat to help others if you will. No pressure, but I do all that in few seconds every time I finish loading a zone to provide the trains and help numerous players save time, not to mention having fun and going fast.

You are only required to hit the dragon once or to be damaged by him to get the quest done. So unless you are trying your luck with the belt at the Rothe or Whispering Caverns dragons you may only damage the dragon once and then either help kill it you want it to go down faster, do your other quest or head right back to the quest giver to be ready to redeem as soon as it dies. Here are a few tips you guys want to consider to help you save time:

Graveyard:

Once you are finished with your quest and have hit the dragon; you may want to consider going to the quest giver before the dragon dies to be ready to turn-in to go to the next zone faster. This dragon usually take more time to kill since there are players with level as low as 26, so you may consider staying to help it go down instead. Once it is dead, you may change instance in order to come back at the fireplace in the middle of the zone, to then suicide in the small pit next to it. You will then appear next to the quest giver.

Ebon Downs:

After you are finished with your quest and have hit the dragon; you may want to consider being at the quest giver before the dragon dies to be ready to turn-in and then, once it's dead, to change instance and appear at the firecamp in the middle of the map, closer to the entrance of the zone.

Icespire Peak:

After you are finished with your quest and have hit the dragon; you may want to consider being at the quest giver before the dragon dies to be ready to turn-in and closer to the entrance of the zone. You can help to kill the dragon and change instance once it is dead to travel back to the quest giver too.

Rothe Valley:

After you are finished with your quest and have hit the dragon; you may want to consider being at the quest giver before the dragon dies to be ready to turn-in. After turning-in if you go up to where the daily quest to lead the slaves to freedom objective is, close to the entrance of the fake cave, and change instances you will appear at the entrance of the zone.

Whispering Caverns:

After you are finished with your quest and have hit the dragon; you may want to consider being at the quest giver before the dragon dies to be ready to turn-in. After turning-in jumping off the bridge on the left side and underneath it to appear at the entrance of the zone.
