Introduction
Most guides for the TR are for PvP. Many people believe that the TR was created solely for PvP, but I believe that it can be a devesting force in PvE if played correctly. With the right encounters and buffs, not only can you be a successful support role, keeping the enemy slowed and stunned, but you can also do massive amounts of DPS.
Race Selection
1. Dragonborn: +2 DEX / +2 STR -- 4 points in DEX, 4 points in STR for 24 STR - 24 DEX - 14 CHA.
2. Half Orc: +2 DEX / +2 STR -- 4 points in DEX, 2 points in STR, 2 points in CHA for 24 STR - 24 DEX - 14 CHA.
3. Human: +2 STR -- 4 points in DEX, 4 points in STR for 24 STR - 22 DEX - 14 CHA.
Starting Roll: Pick the 16 DEX - 16 STR - 12 CHA (Racial bonuses not included).
Race Selection
Paragon Path: Whisperknife or Master Infiltrator
I don't believe that it matters too much, which paragon path is choosen. It's more of a personal preference to be honest. Most of the powers that I use are able to be used by both classes. The only one right now that it not able to be used by both is Invisible Infiltrator. So for that I have choosen Master Infiltrator as my Paragon Path. Most of the skills I use are available for both Paragon Paths. The only skill that isn't is available with Whisperknife is Invisible Infiltrator
Skill Rotation
Single Target Rotation:
-
At-Wills: Duelist Fury, Cloud of Steel
-
Encounters: Smoke Bomb, Dazing Strike, Lashing Blade/Wicked R.
-
Class Features: First Strike, Invisible Infiltrator
-
Dailies: Lurker's Assault, Whirlwind of Blades
AOE/Trash Mobs Rotation:
-
At-Wills: Duelist Fury, Cloud of Steel
-
Encounters: Smoke Bomb, Dazing Strike, Blade Flurry
-
Class Features: First Strike, Invisible Infiltrator
-
Dailies:Lurker's Assult, Whirlwind of Blades
Notes:
Go into fight with Daily ready -> Stealth -> Smoke bomb -> Daily (depends on enemy count) -> Stealth -> Dazing Strike -> Lashing Blade / Blade Flurry
Bugs:
-
Blade Flurry - randomly go on cooldown, when using a companion. No rhyme or reason to why this happens. Will happen in or out of combat.
-
Stealth - if you take massive hit while stealthed, and go down and resurected w/ SF your steath will stop regenerating. Only way to fix this is to die completely. When you respawn it will work like normal. i.e. Pop Lurker's Assault < a second before the Twin Scorpions perform a one shot on you. When SF brings you back your stealth bar will most likely be haulted. kind of like the Unstoppable bug...
Feats & Boons
Feat tree is straight Executioner with a 5/5 in Saboteur. I did not put any points into Devastating Shroud, Twisted Grin or Exposed Weakness. The reason for not putting into Twisted grin is due to fact it only procs once every 10 seconds and can only get +25% more damage at most on one target. I would rather take a constant +25% below 40% HP and 30% HP. Sometimes there isn't enemies dying around you in boss fight for Twisted Grin to proc on, but you can allways count on the contant +55% damage below 30%.

Companions
Note: We only need 1 legendary companion. Legendary rank doesn't increase our companion's active bonuses. I suggest a Augment Compaion (Ioun Stone) at lower IL for the stat boost, but once you get comfortable and higher level gear swap for a summoned companion.
NOTICE: A summoned companion will yield more stats with perfect bonding stones (rank 10) than just an Ioun stone, but it takes a couple seconds for the companion to proc the bonding stones. Bonding Runestones at Perfect will give 65% of companions stats for 20 seconds. So, 3 x 65 = 195% of companions stats + the 15% at legendary will give 210%. If you go this route you will most likely want a companion that can proc Companion's Gift quickly and often.

Mounts

Gear

Necklace, Belt and Artifact: We will aim for the Lostmauth's artifact set. Imperial set isn't bad if the horn continues to evade your inventory.
Artifacts:
Primary (Main):
-
Sigil of the Cleric - For when you don't have a AP DC in group.
-
Wheel of the Elements - When the party needs a boost.
-
Lantern of Revelation - Party damage buff.
Always equiped:
-
Lantern of Revelation
-
Lostmauth's Horn of Blasting
-
Sigil of the Controller
Alternatives:
-
Kessell's Spheres of Annihilation
-
Token of Chromatic Storm
Accesories: Personalized Adamant rings of Recovery with 394 Power / 394 Recovery plus 2 Slots (offensive and defensive). I recommend Major Action Point Jewel for the accesories (belt, cloak, rings) except in our augment companion, only Regen jewels works on them in the case you want to use them but the effect will be barely noticeable.
For Underdark Rings: Ring of Rising Precision +5 and Ring of Rising Power +5 or Ring of Brutalitity +5
Weapon and Armor enchantments: Vorpal is a must for this build. Perfect is more than enough, there's not really point upgrading, until last, your vorpal to Pure or Transcendent since the Crit Sev is going to be the same. If you are playing solo, Negation is a very good option but isn't really good for dungeons where Soulforged is much more important.
Offensive slots: Azure enchantment.
Defensive slots: Dark Enchants for Life Steal chance.
Utility slots: Dragon's Hoard, Fey, or Dark enchantments.
Note: While you are achieving your goal (reaching the maxed stats) you might need to switch some enchantments in order to get the other stats that you need, like more ArPen, meaning Darks instead of Azure in offensive. The most important offensive stat is ArPen, then go for crit. Aim to get your ArPen around 60%.
Powers & Stats
Due to ppls request, below is my power page and my stats. If stats look a little low that is because I have switched from my Legendary Ioun Stone, Navi, to a Legendary Companion fitted with Bonding Runestones.
